Drop your bags and soak up the sand and surf only steps away from your room. If you're a first-timer, you'll soon realize why we love it here. If you're a returning guest you already know! The Pearl is a come-as-you-are kind of place and we like it that way. Below is some information to help make your time with us more enjoyable.
Cancellation Policy.
Reservation Deposit:
All reservations are subject to a 30% deposit. A deposit guarantees we will hold the room reserved and that you will take the room for the entire period booked, rain or shine (or red tide).

Any cancellation or change made in the 13-day window prior to arrival will result in forfeit of your deposit. Reservations cancelled same day of arrival, and no shows will result in a 100% charge of the total stay. You are responsible for the number of nights reserved.

Only registered guests may use the property, including the beach.
We care about your safety and your use and enjoyment of our beach and common spaces. That is why we limit the use of our property to our registered guests. Thank you for understanding.
Parking is for registered guests only.
Each room is permitted ONE parking space. Please place the parking pass on your dashboard so it is visible by Pearl staff. If someone is picking you up or dropping you off, please have them pull into the space outside of the housekeeping hut and not a parking space.
Beach Chairs.
You'll notice a stack of beach chairs on the Sunset Deck because we can't stack them on the beach during Turtle Season (May October). Please feel free to take them onto the beach for your use but, remember to return the chairs when you're finished to protect our precious sea turtles.
Wi-Fi.
While the Pearl does have internet access, we cannot guarantee it will be accessible in all rooms, at all times, without interruption. The Pearl was built long before wifi existed, and is a peaceful island paradise where guests come to unplug and unwind. Unfortunately (or fortunately), Mother Nature doesn't always cooperate with our modern-day pace. The best Cell/ Internet Service can be found on the Garden Patio just outside the Office.
Cooking in the Room.
Several rooms are equipped with small stovetops for cooking. Those that do not have stovetops have induction plates. These can be used like an electric stovetop to cook in your room with the cookware provided.
Grilling.
We have 3 grills on property; 1 on the Sunset Deck, 1 on the Garden Patio, and one by the Banyan Tree outside of the Atlantis Suite. While some grills may be situated close to particular rooms they are intended for use by all guests regardless of room location. Please be mindful that you may not be the only guest in the mood to grill, and we ask that you maintain the grill area and the tables near them in a clean manner for the next guest. Charcoal, lighter fluid, and a lighter are located in the bin next to each grill. Please do not move the grills from their current location, or replace grill cover our Staff will handle that.
Smoking Policy.
Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms, or in our common areas such as the Sunset Deck, or the Garden Patio (outside of the Office). Smoking is, however, permitted outside of your room on your own personal patio with your room door closed. We ask that you please be respectful of other guests' air space and please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground outside your room or anywhere around the property.

Pet Policy.
We love our furry family members, which is why pets are permitted in certain rooms with prior approval. Pets that are 30 lbs or less are welcome in the following rooms ONLY: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, & 9 (maximum of 2 pets per room) for an extra pet fee of $30 per night.
You will automatically be charged $250 to the card on file if you violate this policy.
We only allow pets in certain rooms so we can accommodate guests with allergies. For this reason, if you book a non-pet friendly room and bring a pet, we reserve the right to move your room or not we may not be able to accommodate you.

Noise Ordinance.
Sarasota County has a strictly enforced noise ordinance between the hours of 9:00 pm and 8:00 am. Of course, be courteous to your neighbors at all times.
Check-Out Process.
As with an empty Margarita pitcher, we'll be sad to see you go. Please stop by the Office by 10am for check-out on your day of departure, returning your keys to our empty Margarita pitcher so we can sanitize the lanyards. If you are departing before the office opens or before the door is unlocked, please leave your keys on the table inside the unit with the curtains open. A fee of $25.00 will be applied for any lost/unreturned keys.
Lost Keys.
If you misplace your key after hours, please call the after hours number, and you will be given directions for gaining access to your room. If you are staying in a room with a keypad door handle, you will be told your code at the time of check-in. A fee of $25.00 will be applied for any lost/unreturned keys.
Red Tide.
We cannot control what Mother Nature throws our way. Sometimes, in late Summer, red tide decides to show up in our waters to varying degrees depending on the day/weather. While your ability to swim in the Gulf may be impacted you can always head over to the Bay-side of the Island for kayaking or boating, or enjoy shopping in Venice or golfing at one of the area's premier golf courses. Per policy, we do not refund rates for days impacted by red tide. Please be sure to check the weather before booking your trip.
