The Pearl Beach Inn Blog Post

Relaxation or Adventure? That is the Question.

Vacationing away from it all at the Pearl Beach Inn on Manasota Key has many advantages. Peace and quiet for prime relaxation time is one of them. However, adventure of all kinds is never far away!

You can always kick back and sit on a beach chair while you listen to the waves roll in on our beach. Your room is only a few steps away!

If it's an adventure you seek, our area has you covered!

Let's start with a few simple adventures that don't involve you leaving the beach!

The Venice Florida area is known as the shark tooth capital of the world because of a fossil bed that lies just off our coast. Check the surf for fossilized shark teeth as well as shells!

You can walk north towards Manasota Public Beach or south towards Blind Pass, Englewood Public Beach & Stump Pass Beach State Park! You have nearly 8 miles of beach to explore right on the Gulf of Mexico!

Weather and condition permitting, jump in and take a swim in the warm Gulf waters when you work up a sweat from your beach walk!

There is a Great Florida Birding Trail near Blind Pass. Check out our Birding guide for links that will help with bird identification and trail maps.

You can always explore the coast if you brought your kayak or stand up paddleboard with you. If you didn't there are plenty of rental options around the area.

If you want your watercraft to have a motor, check out these boat rental options around Manasota Key. There are even catamaran tours, dolphin and manatee tours and parasailing available! Fishing tours are also available at the Marinas around town.

Golfing is an adventure when you play as poorly as I do. Here's the rundown on local courses.

A day at the spa is some people's type of adventure. Here are some of the closest ones.

If it's Thursday from October to May you can check out Englewood's two Farmers Markets in Downtown Englewood off Manasota Key. Enjoy lots of food options while shopping outside.

You want to see alligators? Head over to Myakka Park and take an airboat tour!

There are many more adventures to be had all over Southwest Florida.
